Green chickpea chaat (hare chane ki chaat)

You won’t have to think twice before trying it ,as Chaat is a popular food in India, and Hare Chaneki ki chaat makes it much healthier while maintaining same tangy taste.

Being the main ingredient of this recipe, Green chickpea(commonly known as “hara chana” in India)  has low cholesterol level and contain high fiber hence it has advantage in heart diseases , in diabetes . it contain have calcium level which keeps the bone strong.

Ingredients :

hara-chana-chaat2 cups boiled hara chana (green chick peas)
1 cup finely chopped onions
3 to 4 green chillies , finely chopped
1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
2 pinches of sugar
2 tsp oil
salt to taste
2 tbsp chopped raw mango (for garnishing)


  • Heat the oil in a pan, add the onions.
  • Sauté till the onions turn translucent and add the green chillies, green gram, tomatoes, chaat masala and salt and sauté for a further 2 minutes.
  • Add the lemon juice, coriander and sugar and mix well.
  • Serve hot garnished with raw mango.
